We read great review after great review about the Pearse Lodge so as we headed towards Derry from the Cliffs of Moher we decided to make the Lodge our stopping point. It may have been a bit out of the way, but we were willing to make the extra drive just to stay there. So needless to say, our expectations... More

What would you feel about living in a top art gallery or a five-star hotel? This must be what the sweet couple who owns and lives in this house feel, day in and day out. They've taken such extensive and meticulous care of this place that it is impeccable in taste, delightful in every detail, and pristine to the very... More

We had only one night to spend in Sligo, which was unfortunate. The area definitely deserves more time. Pearse Lodge was in the perfect location...just a 10 minute walk from the town centre where food and entertainment were abundant. We had asked Mary, our hostess, for some suggestions on traditional Irish Pubs with good food. She did not disappoint. We... More

My sister and I were delighted to find this pretty place in what turned out to be our favorite stop on our 10 day tour of Northwest Ireland. It was more than comfortable. Mary and Kieran are so welcoming and helpful and they've decorated the guest areas so cozily! Breakfast was wonderful, especially Mary's slow cooked porridge. Her recommendations for... More

Was a wonderful one night stay, wish it was longer, fabulous bed, beautiful brekky. We walked into the town for dinner at night, was very handy. Great hosts and we chatted for ages, lovely and warm room which was much appreciated as we found it rather chilly.

Three of us stayed for just one night at the start of a cycle tour. Mary and Kieran were both charming and could not have helped more - providing ample storage for our bikes, advice on where to eat, and on our route. The accommodation was very clean and modern and the breakfast was great! In fact, having now completed... More

The location of this B&B was perfect for us. It is located on a busy street, but directly behind the house is ample parking. Upon arrival Kieron showed us to our room, which was very clean, comfy and roomy. He recommended a Pub/Restaurant within walking distance for dinner. Even though it was cold & windy it was well worth the... More

Stayed at Pearse Lodge just one evening April 8 2013 enroute to Donegal. Very clean, comfortable, excellent sleep.Breakfast perfect, home-made muesli a real treat. Kieran and Mary were very welcoming and spent some time the next morning detailing what to see around the town ,things to see in Donegal and even drew up some detailed directions of how to do it.... This was the best B&B in which I have stayed in Ireland and I have been visiting for 20 years. The hosts were knowledgeable and friendly and the recommendations for food and music were spot on. The breakfast was great and one was offered a lot of choices. Sligo Town was an unexpected delight and the surrounding countryside very beautiful.

We stopped overnight in Sligo on the way to giant's causeway and got great advice on where to go for seriously good food and music from the innkeeper. The rooms were all a bit different, all really nice (we were a group of three couple, so three rooms.) highly recommended! Also got to whatever pub has music - it was... More

Hi Heather , Glad to hear your group all enjoyed their stay with us. It is always pleasing to hear that guests have enjoyed our dining suggestions. As for the Music , Sligo has a very vibrant and varied music scene with music around town on a nightly basis. More
