I'd read the reviews on here, and travelling for work, I was a bit worried. I needn't have been. This hotel has real character and I really enjoyed my stay. I had room 3, which had a double and a single bed and was very spacious. The furniture was all stylish (I had a three seater leather vintage sofa) and... More

Checked in yesterday for a 4 night stay in The Lodge. Booked it a year ago as here for a conference and I know everywhere gets booked early. I was concerned after reading the last review for the Lodge, but I have to say they must have been looking at a different building. The Lodge is very comfortable and spacious... More

Just returned from a weekend in Harrogate staying on Friday and Saturday night at this hotel. Firstly, the plus points. The hotel has a lovely restaurant serving excellent food and with live Jazz six nights a week (none on Saturday nights - which seems strange). The staff are very friendly and the location is brilliant - five minutes walk from... More

I arrived at the hotel and took advantage of the free parking at the rear, a real bonus as the hotel is situated in the heart of the shopping / restaurant area. Greeted by a warm welcome, I was aware from earlier Tripadvisor reviews that there was an eclectic mix of rooms and wanted to avoid a handheld shower. No... More

Just stayed for a couple of nights, the restaurant and staff were lovely but we were dismayed at the accommodation. We had booked through late rooms and when we arrived we were told our room was in The Lodge - sounds lovely doesnt it. However The Lodge turned out to be a dilapidated out building in the back street and... More

Have stayed at this hotel when in need of a recharge for about eight years. Not Bren for two years and was looking forward to visiting Harrogate. The hotel felt grubby and had lost it's sparkle. The room was not clean with filthy net curtains, dirty shower head and cubicle and paint peeling from Walls. No PowerPoint for hairdryer and... More

This hotel is a wee diamond. It's centrally located for everything you could need and the staff are fantastic!!! The rooms are quirky and designed individually, the bar and dining area is fascinating, we saw something new everyday we were in there. Really looking forward to going back again and I highly recommend if your thinking about booking this hotel,... More

Visited the brasserie last night for informal dinner. We had booked ahead and on arrival given a choice of table. Quite busy for a wet wednesday, great atmosphere attentive staff and good food at a reasonable price. Everything came hot, well cooked and nice veg on the side. The music was just right (young jazz duo) a very pleasant evening.

Stayed at the Harrogate Brasserie for two nights and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the garden room which is a beautiful room, very modern and cosy. Only thing that a lot of people complain about is the fact it is above the kitchen so can be quite noisy but the staff did tell us that beforehand. Excellant food and... More
