Our first trip to Harrogate and thanks to the Holiday Inn for accommodating me, my wife and our grown-up son in one room (with a Z-bed). Saved us a lot of money! Well-situated hotel just 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Harrogate and slap bang next to the Harrogate International Centre so perfect for business and delegations too. It's... More

A group of 50 descended on this hotel for 3 nights. The reception staff were organised and informative - we were all settled in our rooms within a very short time. I was booked in on a single basis, and am used to having the smallest, inconveniently situated, and very small rooms in most hotels. Not at the Holiday Inn... More

Location is great, heart of downtown Harrogate and easy walking distance to the main shops and restaurants. The room was a standard room, decor was simple which was fine, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet which was nice. Everything you need at a four star hotel. The breakfast was ok, limited choice of continental items such as... More

We just returned from a Trafalgar Tour of England and Ireland. We were supposed to have deluxe accommodations which was 3-4 star hotels but this one was a dog. Not really bad but run down, small elevators, small rooms, etc.. We stayed in other places on the trip that were definitely worthy of 3-4 star rating but not this place.... More

Dear Davidannarbor, Thank you for your observations concerning your recent stay. I do apologise if you were dissappointed in your experience, but I must admit to be somewhat surprised at some of these. As past reviews strongly suggest, our Guests normally find our standard rooms, all of which are the same size, to be spacious and of a four-star standard.... More

check in went okay. Front desk staff not that friendly. Ther is no ice machine, no vending machine. They suggested we go to their bar to get drinks, no bottled water for sale. We got in about 7 pm, the town is basically closed. The room smelled musty. Fellow travellers had the same comments. Breakfast was standard buffet.

I stayed for three nights in an Executive Room. Check in staff were very efficient and friendly. The room was clean and had complimentary water (both still and sparkling) plus chocolates! Choice of pillows was great too. Bathroom was well equipped with gorgeous sumptuous bath towels. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. I will definitely stay here again.

I arrived here at 9am after 16 hours travelling, and threw myself on the mercy of the staff for an early check-in for our 2 night stay. I stayed for two nights on business. The hotel itself was very nice, the breakfast was a buffet, which had plenty of choice, and was hot and tasty. This hotel is nice enough. It is very handy if you are going to anything in the HIC as it is right next door and has parking.
