Hotel looks tatty and aged, room nice enough for an overnight though. Room service was ok. On the whole an average hotel, bad for a hilton but good for £50.00 a night. Don't expect anything special. Very loud hotel, everything bangs and creeks...dont expect a nights sleep.

Stayed overnight as attending a car show the next day almost next door. Easy to find and well signed posted with plenty of Free parking (other Hiltons out of town note please). Firstly they could not find my reservation, when I told them I had made it myself via Hilton membership it was eventually found. Allocated a room a long... More

I booked a room at the Hilton Basingstoke as a short night stop (I left at 3.45am) before a ferry sailing from Poole. The reviews of the hotel I had read were not particularly encouraging, but for an advance purchase rate of only £57 for the night in a double family guestroom, it was very reasonable. I arrived at 7.30pm... More

There's not much to say about the Hilton in Basingstoke-some would say it's overpriced but not really for this part of England. It is very dated, the room doors look like something out of a 1970's sitcom, and the rooms could do with a makeover. The reception area is ok, and breakfast is served in,again, a very 1970's conservatory. All a... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to post a review on the Trip Advisor website. As with many Hiltons this hotel provides a comfortable nights sleep with clean room, overpriced bar, adequate breakfast and Wifi you have to pay for. There are better alternatives in the area!

We booked a deluxe Hilton Plus room and service which entitled us to a better room, free internet, bathrobes, snacks and drinks. On arrival no help was offered with our bags, and the directions to the room (and signage) were poor which meant we walked around carrying them twice before a cleaner pointed us in the right direction. None of... More

A great nights sleep, very quiet room facing the garden courtyard at back. Hotel itself is fine, could do with a refurb or a bit of modernisation especially when you compare to other Hiltons that have been done recently (Leeds City). Flooring is especially 'creaky' which creates quite a lot of noise, again especially the corridors. Gym is a 'Living... More

Stayed here as a base for a weekend to include Windsor, Isle of Wight and Stonehenge. Facilities were good but the staff excelled. First evening meal was spoiled by a "Big Fat Gypsy Wedding Party" taking place so we transferred the meal to the following evening. Staff were very obliging and understanding, and compensated the following evening with complimentary drinks.... More

A British country hotel acquired by Hilton. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Every employee was very courteous and helpful. Looks old but is well maintained. Very clean. Floors squeek a little. My stay was very comfortable. My room was a little smaller than I expected from a Hilton, but it was adequate for my needs. The... More
