The Ashwood was the first stop on our Easter cruise. I up graded my room as my boss was so tight he only booked a single and I fancied the space of a double, well I’m a big lad. On arrival after having to push past the local fuzz and a random drunk the service was really good. The room... More

I agree with previous reviews, this hotel has all you need for basic accommodation when on a work trip. The staff is friendly & lovely, the outside bathroom is a bit run down but clean, the room and mattress are comfortable (I took the single, cheap option). One thing, the room I got had very clear curtains so if you... More

We’ve stayed in this hotel on two previous occasions. It’s a very comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel managed by a very pleasant lady. At £59 bed and breakfast for a double room, this represents excellent value, and our breakfast was cooked freshly to order. We had a clean and cosy ensuite room, plenty of soft towels, a comfortable bed with crisp... More

This was a one night stay en route from south to north. It's only a few minutes from Preston rail station so very convenient if travelling that way, as I was. The room had an adjacent bathroom (but there are en suites at a little more if you want them). A comfortable night's sleep with lovely clean bed linen. Breakfast... More

The Ashwood is easy to find from the railway station. Just go out of the main entrance, up to the main road and turn left, away from the shops. You'll pass the council offices on the short downhill walk. My single room was fine, if small. Bathroom was clean and the pressure in the shower was good. The single bed... More

Stayed here with two other members of my family at the beginning of the month. Five minutes walk from the center of town. Freindly welcome upon arrival, spacious and clean single and twin rooms allocated. Bathrooms spotless with fresh towels and soap. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was full English all you can eat, not continental like so many places have... More

I visited Preston for my daughter’s graduation ceremony and we stayed at the Ashwood Hotel. We had 4 rooms and the hotel managed to accommodate us very well and they met all of our needs. The hotel was very busy due to the number of people visiting Preston for the graduation. I was very surprised to see how the staff... More

A bit of an odd place this. Did the job o.k. for two nights; not sure whether I'd want to stay there longer. A very functional place, with little warmth of character. It's on a busy road just down the hill from the railway station. Although I booked a single room, they put me in a very large triple, though... More
