Stayed here for one night last Tuesday for the Fashion Kicks event in Manchester. This was also the base for Westlife and some of the footballers from Man City. A concierge ran to collect our bags from the car park and once checked in we were offered his uses to take our bags to the room. Really gorgeous stylish room,... More

I've been a regular visitor to the Lowry over the last six years and still believe its the best that Manchester can offer, with a contemporary feel, good service and an excellent restaurant. However some of the public areas are really starting to show signs of wear and tear... the wooden parquet flooring in the Restaurant are looking very shabby... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your honest review. We do as with all hotels suffer from general wear and tear, however we have a constant rolling refurbishment program that targets the areas that need the most focus. We have just completed a refurbishment in another 40 bedrooms and have also replaced the corridor carpets on two of our six bedroom... More

I stayed in The Lowry for several weeks in November and December last year and found it to be the almost perfect business hotel. Compared to stays at the Hilton Deansgate, Radisson Edwardian, The Midland and Great John Street Hotel over the same period, it is clearly the best business hotel in Manchester. Rooms are very large and well appointed,... More

I stayed at The Lowry last weekend for or night with my partner as we were going to see a concert. We booked via booking.com and we had a deluxe king room with a river view. When we pulled up outside a man came out and took our bags for us whilst we parked the car - £15 for 24hours.... More

Stayed as a treat for 40th birthday. Got a good deal £159 for the night £60 less than listed price (booking.com). First impressions were good but lacked atmosphere. En route to room the carpets looked grubby and stained. In room the carpet WAS grubby and stained!! Scuff marks on side of bed base, again carpet marked where side table had... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. It is true that hotels suffer a great deal from wear and tear due to the high occupancy of guests who frequent the building. We work hard to maintain and replace our furnishings as when needed, we have just finished a 40 bedroom refurbishment and the replacement of two bedroom floor carpets and... More

This hotel reminded me of an 1980s Holiday Inn and the service and amenities were similar. The location is central with just a short walk to the city centre but over an ugly concreted, then backstreet, somewhat deserted area - you'd expect tumbleweed if Manchester wasn't so damp! The decor is a little dated and due for refurbishment. The service... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your most detailed review. Whilst I am of course pleased that you found the hotel overall to be pleasant I am sorry that we were maybe not quite to your taste.
