Former "Hotel particulier" transformed into a small hotel by keeping the feeling of the home of former Bourgois in Bordeaux. Rooms are small and simple but with a lot of taste. The Hotel is situated in the old part of the town and parking is nearly impossible, but you can walk to most places. Service is great and you get...

We were excited about staying here from what we had seen online. Alas, room 4 was very noisy (nothing to do with the hotel, a loud party till the early hours) and although the staff was helpful they vacate at 8:00 p.m. The hotel looks great but the hot water control in the bathroom is unclear and I almost burned...

What a pity The hotel room was damp and we were cold. Hotel was furnished with cheap material and some things were falling apart or walls were damp. Pleasant service by the one person who worked in the hotel and did everything
Unpreposessing from front -feels as though you are entering a store front- but rooms are pleasant and staff is very friendly. About 5 minute walk down to the river and 15-20 minutes into the pedestrianized city centre (public transport available also). Easy walk to restaurants for breakfast and dinner.
Friendly hotel in interesting quarter of the city, handy for tram network and near the river. Rooms facing the street can be a little noisy in the evening due to no double glazing.
We were nicely surprised when we came to this hotel. An old house with still authentic staircase and 9 beautiful rooms which are individually decorated. Very unique! The room is nicely renovated with tasteful furniture.
The hotel is located in a quite quarter Chartron, walking distance to many cafes. The service was superb, the guy at the reception was very...

Everything is 'good' about this 'apart-hotel.' Main things for us were a) it was clean - very clean b) excellent English spoken by staff. Really good meet and greet, despite arriving early we were given a map which was explained thoroughly including trams network. When room was available our case had made it up to it already, c) location away...

L'Avant-Scene is a hidden gem of a hotel. Tucked away in the historic heart of Bordeaux's wine trading Chartrons district, it's an easy walk into town or down to the river. Architecturally it oozes charm from the stylish frontage to the well worn stone steps inside. One can't help wondering who walked here before and the stories they could tell....

This small hotel is a little oasis in Bordeaux. We found the service to be very helpful (Jordan who was manning the front desk actually came with us to help us locate the parking area which was awkward to find due to road construction detours). Our room (#9) was spacious and quiet with a comfortable bed and all necessary amenities....
