Its not the worst hotel however its further out from the "center" of Bordeaux.... not the end of the world but since its a small city, you dont want to have to walk 20 min for dinner etc. & cabs are impossible to get. The rooms are OK.... they didnt have AC for a really hot day when we arrived... More

Attentive staff throughout.pleasant room, but the hotel is clearly for business men during the week and I would imagine, conventions etc. Very good breakfast buffet but there was no effort to replace anything that had run out and what I believe was scrambled egg was grainy and inedible in my opinion, but in general was really tasty apart from that. Reception... More

I'm not sure how this hotel is ranked so high. It is outside the city and a few blocks to the nearest tram. Room was average, bed good size, bathroom small. They had not turned the main A/C on so rooms were hot and window didn't open. We were there three nights and final day they had the water shut... More

We stayed in Bordeaux for an extended long weekend and really enjoyed our stay at the Mercure. We stayed in a standard room which we found very comfortable, the beds were especially comfortable. The bathroom was clean and of a good standard. Breakfast was a good buffet with a large variety of food available. The hotel location was good, it... More

Just had an extremely pleasant stay at the Hotel Mercure Chateau Chartrons. The rooms were very comfortable...wonderful sleep-inducing beds, and modern, clean bathrooms with both bath and shower. Breakfast was very comprehensive: if they've run out of freshly squeezed orange juice it is because my husband and I could not get enough of it. All excellent. The service was friendly... More

Adequate hotel in a scruffy part of Bordeaux but linked to the centre by bus direct from the front door or tram a 7 minute walk away. Good food though in restaurant with a decent breakfast and mostly friendly staff.

Modern typical of the Mercure chain but about 20 mins drive from the main hub and sights of Bordeaux - there are better location to stay at. Clean, modern, tidy hotel with particularly helpful reception staff and a ten minute walk to the River for bars and restaurants.

Rooms are a bit tight for a 4 stars hotels but the bed is very comfortable . The location is great : if you walk 5 mns on the cours Saint-emilion you arrive on the "quai de la garonne" with shops retaurants and Tramway facilities if you want to go into the very centre for 1.40 euros one way ...... Within the Mercure chain of hotels this is a gem. Close to the city centre (10 minutes walking, tram connects also), totally quiet but with the necessary bit of infrastructure (bar, restaurant, shopping facilities) in and around the house. The restaurant is pretty good, the stuff extremely friendly and helpful. Wifi is free, the Garonne with its quais and bars... More
