This is an ultra basic hotel, it is very good at it.
My room had a somewhat different design than other Etaps that I have stayed at, and somewhat better, with toilet, sink, shower separated. Not worth the extra 19 euros that it cost me to stay there compared to other recent Etap stays however.
Location reasonable, with a large...

This ETAP hotel was really good if you are looking for somewhere that is reasonably priced, and close to a few eateries and grocery store. The hotel is a few blocks away from the tram stop, which made getting to the centre of town easier. The only negative for me was that the beds were quite hard, and I found...

I stayed with my husband and 8 year old daughter for a night visiting Bordeaux. It was easy to find and well-located - just over the bridge to the main centre so easy to wlk or get the tram.
The buffet breakfast was pentiful and good value. The staff friendly and helpful. We appreciated the secure, private parking nextdoor.

Very well located for our purposes, quite area with public transport nearby and with in walking distance to city center. Breakfast is a bit borring but staff is quite nice and ready to help. Rooms are fine for the price.
For 43 Euro in a major French city this hotel is a bargain.
I booked based on the Tripadvisor reviews as we only needed a bed and secure parking as seeing Bordeaux late afternoon, evening and the following morning was the main priority before leaving for a week in the Lot Valley, but was still wary because of the price.

Clean, comfortable and well located Etap Hotel for visiting Bordeaux. Within 15 minutes walking distance from the "Place de la Bourse". The neighbourhood is safe so parking is possible in the surrounding streets. Paid underground parking next door. Helpful staff at the reception desk. We paid 48,70 euro for 1 night. Breakfast was 4,90 euro per person.
Great location to get the tram into the centre of town and right next to Carrefour and cafe's. The man who checked us in was very polite and helpful. The room was very good value for us just passing through. Only downside was the toilet was smelly. Bordeuax is worth a look - very nice.
Take bus 10 from Gare St-Jean or the tram to Jardin Botanique. Walk to old Bordeaux over a nice old bridge. Supermarket next to the hotel. Very friendly hotel staff. V-cub (Bordeaux free bike system) stand next to the hotel.
