We were arriving Pau in cold and damp weather in May. Didn't book anywhere with a car. First thing caught us is 'car park' which's good sign. The manager, probably the boss was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on 1st floor but they have a lift. We got a very nice big room, good deco with a functionable... More

Renovated hotel in old Pau building in the middle of the old city. We loved it ! Together with an excellent service made our stay in Pau very pleasant. Large room and large bathroom, however, small bed (160?) but good. Private carparking available in the garden.

We booked this hotel due to the positive trip advisor reviews but more importantly that car parking is available during the Pau Grand Prix Historique as we have a classic car. The hotel was booked early January and the manageress assured me on the telephone that although they could not reserve the parking, we would have no problem to find... More

sir, Following your advice, we want to provide some details: - The hotel has 21 rooms and 14 parking spaces. Parking is free which means no place can be reserved. - On arrival, we did ask to change your car because your car taking up two parking spaces. Considering the fact that we must meet up to our customers, our... More

The hotel is a typical old Pau building in excellent condition. Parking is available in the grounds. It is a tiny walk to the very centre of town past interesting small businesses. (I had a wonderful haircut from the young lady next door at Jean-Luc Coiffure). A short amble to the sublime views of Pyrenees. Sadly most restaurants are the... More

We stayed there for two nights in September 2011. It is a very nice and pleasant hotel. It is located in Pau's city center. We had a fantastic and very large room, it was recently renovated. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Private parking space is available. Not cheap but still very good value for money.

We had a slight change of venue for our Spring 'petit pélerinage' to the Bearn region, an annual event to stock up on their excellent wines. Pau was still our preferred base but we choose the Hotel Bristol, not only for it's central location but also for the excellent reviews it has received on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Our... More

We looked for a good hotel in the center of the city as we didn't have very much time to spend there. The parking service was good and the personnel nice. This old hotel is cosy with huge rooms, but with paperwalls. If you don't want to hear everything that happens next door, bring your earplugs. The breakfast was a... More

I stayed here mid Feb 2012. Upgraded rooms. Comfortable bed. The desk help was awesome - tips on where to eat and all around friendliness. If I am back in town, I'll stay here.

My stay was a single overnight, arriving late & leaving early, without time for breakfast, but I was received with great cordiality & a complimentary bottle of mineral water. The room was comfortable & well-maintained with excellent amenities, good double glazing ensured a tranquil night &I would happily stay there again.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Bristol and would highly recommend it if your are looking for a hotel in Pau. The rooms are large and well finished with the on site parking a real plus point. The location of the hotel is also a real adavantage.
