This recently modernised hotel is frightfully a good address. Alas, microscopic fault, one is not comfortably served at breakfast as the cups are in shortage. But one has the feeling of being at home.

We liked this hotel for its very central location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was quiet small but had everything we needed. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere incredibly central and convenient to everywhere. It is also very good value.
We were three women travelling together and found the triple room in the hotel to be basic although clean and very roomy with 3 beds in the room. The staff were very helpful and they do a good job of helping with anything they can. As our room was on the second floor we had to sit in the downstairs...

The location was great and the sheets were clean, but other than that, the hotel was very poor indeed. We stayed in a family room which was vey sparse - I have stayed in better youth hostels. The bathoom was very basic and needed a complete overhaul. The staff were fine but I have stayed in much better hotels than...

I stayed here last night and never go bsck. The room smelled very bad like old feet or good cheese. My pillow case smelled like an old dog died there. The hotel located in the walled part of the city which was really nice but there is no peace and quiet before everyone has left the streets. The walls are...

My husband, sister and I were anxious to have a wonderful experience in St. Malo an historic walled city in Brittany. The city is interesting, however, I wished that we had chosen another hotel. The proprietor were very nice and helpful but the hotel is in need of renovation. The room and bathroom was worn and not very comfortable. The...

The location inside the walls is good but that is the end of the plus points. The Hotel is badly in need of renovation and everything looks very tired. Our room was grubby and the bathroom was full of damp and mould. It was expensive at 98euro for a twin room with parking. Breakfast was poor, 8 euro’s for not...

Pretty good location within 150 yards of the Old City ramparts but the poor reviews on TA & other sites are mostly justified IMO. Staff were ok in a "take your money sort of way "( 2 euros to leave our expensive carbon road bikes in an unsecure tip of a garage!!!) The downstairs area is fine being bright &...

We were a little concerned at some of the negative feedback this hotel had received, but given the low costs (by St Malo standards), we thought it represented good value for money. Rooms are small and basic - but hey, that's what you get for your money. Staff were very helpful and the in house breakfast was also very good...

This hotel was booked for us by the AA as we'd broken down in France. I was expecting basic and that's exactly what it is. We had a family room with a double bed and a single bed for a 6 year old. The room was old and tired, the toilet didn't flush properly unless you put your hand in...
