We ended a perfect day of visiting Mont St Michel by staying at the La Villefromoy in Saint-Malo. It is in a lovely location, close to the beach and excellent restaurants within walking distance. The only downside to this hotel is its distance from the medieval town centre but we found plenty of parking outside the old city walls.
