Tranquil campsite with plenty of rustic charm. We only stayed for one night , as an ideal for stop over en route south, but enjoyed the atmosphere and we plan to return. Nice site overall, loved the Degustations (wine tasting) in the chateau's cellar. Playground perfect for two year-old but probably would bore anyone much older pretty quickly. Feeding the ducks at the lake was always entertaining. Bit disappointing that the bar closed at 8pm from 10th September onwards. This site is perfect for a one-night stopover or for longer if you want to look around the lovely area of the Saone valley. Easy to find from both north and south directions from the A6 motorway. This is a very good site with large flat pitches. The sanitary blocks are very clean although you might have quite a long walk. There is a good restaurant and pizzeria. The countryside is good for cycling. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. We would certainly go back.

We stayed in a mobile home with Canvas Holidays at this site in the grounds of the Cateau L,Eperviere, Gigny sur Saone Burgundy. We have stayed here on several occasions as an overnight stop when travelling/returning from further afield. It’s about 20 minutes drive from the motorway and just about reached in a days drive from Calais so it’s a welcome rest after a long day in the car.
