Used this hotel as a one night stop over on our way to the Alps. Considering our room was only €57 we thought the hotel was excellent. Right in the heart of the city, close to all the attractions and restaurants.
The furnishings are dated and the hotel is quirky but everything was clean and our bed was very good....

Those of you who stayed in French 2* hotels know what to expect. Outdated furniture, bathroom in need for renovation, not really clean and expect some mold and dust. But the prices are low, and if you are lucky, the premises you stay in have a lot of character. For me this hotel can be a model for this kind...

Our stay with my architect daughter was very pleasant in a very quaint hotel, located in the heart of Dijon, a beautiful old French town in the heart of the Bourgundy wine country area. The Hotel is housed in an old building, very well kept, clean, and quiet Although the rooms and bathrooms are small, they have the basics for...

Pros:
* nice building, courtyard is nice in summer
* intimate atmosphere
* breakfast available
* right in the heart of Dijon
* decent sized, clean, warm room
Cons:
* breakfast not included in...

When...

The place is no frills, but for 33 euros a night total (without shower in room) for a double room, how can you really go wrong? Cheapest place in France pretty much, 16.50 euros each is even cheaper than a dire hostel dorm room. It's right near the old town centre, a lovely place. As far as the hotel goes,...

Hidden just off the beaten track but a very well kept and interesting hotel.
With rooms spread over three floors, I was on the top floor, with an interesting sloping roof fitted with a skylight. Mine was a standard double room with shared bathroom facilities on the same floor (both the shower room and toilet looked fairly new and were...

We wanted very much to like this hotel since it was the only affordable one that responded to our email inquiries (their sister hotel, Le Jaquemart, never did despite repeated attempts). But in the end we just can't recommend it.
We spent 3 nights in beautiful Dijon, and the location of Hotel Le Chambellan can't be beat for strolling to...
