This hotel was just OK. I was not impressed by the security. All the room keys hung at reception where anyone could just lift one and go up to any room! The lady at reception was quite stern. She insisted that I pay up front. The room was just OK, a bit drab and run down looking - no shower... More

We stayed at La boule d’or in Chinon May 2007 for one night for around 55-65 euro. The hotel is a Logis de France. Our experience was very different from the other reviewer’s – the hotel must have been fixed up since. Our room was very clean and newly renovated to a relatively high standard for a two star.
