Well, the "chateau" was actually once a monastery, nicely situated in the hills of the Cap Corse. Today, it is a chambre d'hote (not a hotel, as the owner stresses) with a handful of no-frills rooms. the Chateau Cagninacci is actually a former convent turned private estate a 100 years ago (and in the same family ever since), it has amazing views over the sea, and is within walking distance of San Martin di Lota where you can find 2 very good restaurants.
