Very disappointed by the restaurant. We sat at a table on one of the doors that open to the courtyard. The table and chairs were too small and therefore very uncomfortable. We were really squeezed. The service has indeed improved -- items requested from room service appeared within minutes staff was courteous at meals, etc. Minuscule, dark rooms (smaller and darker than at The Gramercy, never thought that possible). A magic wand has been waved over the service at Hotel Costes ! So many previous reviews have focussed on the haughty service - not our experience any more. Every member of staff was utterly charming and helpful. We returned last w/end after about 3 years and loved every hedonistic moment of it.
