There is only one good thing about this hostel: the location. Everything else is just terrible. The rooms are so dirty. The sheets were not clean, hair and blood spots from bed bugs all over the mattress. Had to change room two times. The staff were really kind and helpful and let us do this, but each room we changed... More

Not our first YHA.. I know what they are. Did a full month in Australia in YHA and they were all great. Paris end up being our second YHA in Europe and we stayed in D'artagnan for 3 nights and didn't enjoy it. Plus: room was clean (private room 2 bunk beds). Front desk people were nice. Minus: included breakfast...... More

easy to find, a little bit out of city but this one is a well known option. (I used to stay here almost 15 years ago as well.) Neighborhood has changed -not for the good so Jules Ferry is still the better option if you plan to stay in a hostel. but breakfast was free and rich; transportation was easy.... More

We all arrived (around 9 am) about 100 of us, only thing was we couldnt check in until 3, but we put out cases away and went out, came back at 3, booms are basic but fine. Felt like we were on a brownie girls trip with the bunk beds. Beds were comfy and had a sheet and quilt which... More

... but Pajol (yet to open) could better! Clean dorms, bathrooms and showers.Excellent paid-for internet facilities, and large dining-room, with restaurant supplying evening meals make this probably the best of the HI Hostels in Paris. A real travellers hostel - you travel far to the east to get there (Pte de Montreuil) and then if the 15 minute walk is... More

I was at the Artagnan with a group of high school students. The youth hostel is a bit out of the downtown area but it's very near the metro and this will take you into town in just 15 minutes. Place was reasonably clean and quiet. There isn't much of a traveller's vibe- it's mostly for school groups. Rooms are... More

My visit to Paris was along with my younger son in the month of June and this was the last of the countries we visited along with other 3 big countries and nine cities before ending our trip in Germany to fly back home. I had heard so much about Paris especially about Eiffel Tower and it was my dream... More

This was my first time in a hostel and I happened to be travelling completely alone for the first time, with a cellphone that ran out of prepaid minutes in no time and no other means of communication besides email. You have to pay for the Wifi, if you can even get to the page where you make your payment...... More

I stayed here for 3 nights in March and the hostel does have it's good and bad points. Good: Breakfast was included for us. It wasn't the greatest or most inspiring, but cereal and juice was enough to set us up It was peaceful. We were on the 4th floor and didn't hear our neighbours at all It's very close... More

Now , personally, I couldn't care less about them, but the distaff side of the family was most vocal in her disapproval of such a thing! However, everything else was great; the continental breakfast was just superb; the kids just kept going back for more until reined in! Friendly staff and reasonably quiet, it was OK! Postscript: friends of ours... More
