The Mercure Opera Cusset enjoys a good location in the heart of Paris and in general the rates are fine. However, the rooms are basic, very small and the carpet that runs through the entire hotel is so dirty that you feel in need of a wash whenever you leave. The breakfast is also shocking. Avoid if yu can afford... More

Although we found the surrounding neighborhood to have deteriorated a bit since our last visit, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is a Metro station within steps, many good restaurants in the area (including some fine ethnic restaurants), and a major shopping area within easy walking distance. We avoided the expensive (@ 18 euros) breakfast and picnic-ed in our room... More

I have just spent 10 days in Paris and my stay was at the Mecure Cusset Opera, what a great location, metro around the corner and busses direct to the Louvre out the front, between the two all of the attractions are covered. The rooms while not super large are clean and tidy but remember this is an old city... More

..but not the best either. Yep the staff were very friendly, wifi fast and free and the breakfast was ok for Paris - but not much hot stuff - and the hotel seemed clean. The room was not much bigger than the double bed but the facilities were ok and the location is pretty good - especially the kids toy shop....... This is a rather run down hotel, in need of a refurb. The room was clean, but everything was rather tatty. The soundproofing wasn't great, either from next door or from the street, so ear plugs were required. Breakfast was good, but rather expensive - the Pain Quotidien down the road was much better value. More

i stayed here for 3 nights in March/April 2012 and found the hotel to be clean and sufficient for a stay in Paris. if you are looking for a hotel where you want to spend a lot of time in your room i would look elsewhere. the rooms are small but well appointed, were clean enough, and the location was...
