What a great stay! The hotel is lovely, clean and welcoming. Room was a good size, bathroom has both a bath and shower - all very clean (room 57). Great area, moments away from Cadet Metro which links you straight to popular attractions like the Louvre, Pont Neuf and the Latin quarter. Surrounding area has lovely restaurants and shops - Rue Cadet is a gorgeous street nearby with lots of shops and eateries. At the bottom of Rue Cadet you will find the entrance to Passage Verdeau which is a must see!! Staff were all so friendly, and we really couldn’t have been happier with our stay

Location: excellent! Quick and safe walk from Gare de Nord and Gare de L’Est. I’m always super careful and keep my purse, backpack, and suitcase locked at all times, along with my cellphone on a lanyard. Also, with the help of google maps, I was easily able to explore and walk everywhere. There is a metro close by and it was handy to walk there. Staff: very friendly and helpful. I was able to check in an hour early. Room: cozy and clean. It was just me but there were 2 other beds. I’m sure a trio would be comfortable too. Lots of hot water in the shower - great pressure too. Breakfast: was included in the price, so I as pleased. If, however, it wasn’t included, it would be cheaper to have breakfast somewhere else.

We stayed in twin rooms for 10 days. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. One member even put usbin a junior suite for the last 5 days, with a fridge and microwave. Hotel was clean and housekeeping was efficient and were attentive to our needs. This hotel is immediately opposite the Cadet metro line and 15mins from Gare du Nord, because its not bang in the tourist area, drinks etc are a bit cheaper. Chinese opposite is great, the cafe on the corner, not so good in terms of food. Would book this hotel again.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms are small but adequate and spotlessly clean. Hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, the hotel is in an excellent position, we felt very safe and would definitely stay there again, highly recommend!

We stayed in this hotel for three nights in September and was horribly disappointed. The air conditioning didn’t work and apparently hadn’t been for months. So the rooms were very hot and had to sleep with windows open and the street noise was horrendous in the mornings. The rooms are very outdated and the breakfast was disappointing. Great location through.

Only stayed in this hotel as family from Australia said this was where they were staying but they forgot to mention they had checked reviews and decided to not book based on some reviews. On arrival we were told the air con was not working in any of the rooms they could not say when it would be fixed but from speaking to other guest we believe it had been broken for some time, we were provided with a fan not ideal but something. Luckily Paris was not experiencing the hot temperatures as in other parts of Europe while we stayed here. We did look at booking another hotel but the prices in July last minute were to much otherwise we would have. Breakfast was buffet cereals, ham, cheese, croissant etc, on our first morning in the dining area it was difficult to find a table freshly laid as there were so many tables that had not been cleared from previous guest, our 2nd morning there were no croissants and the scrambled egg hot plate was empty, the kitchen is adjacent to dining hall so I tapped on the door and asked the member of staff if we could some and was told to ‘wait’ while he continued to wash up then another guest did the same and was told the same, anyway after waiting a reasonable time I went to reception and asked the member of staff there if it was possible to replenish the food, thankfully he did this straight away. The rooms are clean but the shower in our room was tiny not sure if all rooms have such small showers but may be worth asking. The lift is also tiny and only 1 person and luggage can fit in. Location is close to metro Cadet and this is how we travelled mostly we did ask hotel to order us a taxi one night but the price was much higher then Ubers. I always review the hotels I stay at & do my very best to be truthful and share positive feedback and if there are negatives I hope the management take note and improve on the things. Staff on reception were pleasant, dining room staff needs more training in customer service. Would I stay here again sadly no.…

I wouldn't send a dog to this hotel. From time we arrived we were told we had exactly the same room which we expected as paid same amount, but this was a lie, my room I could move and walk around in but my friends room was so small she had nowhere to put her suitcase and needed to climb on bed to get to bathroom and door. They did end up changing her room after i firmly requested they put her in a room the same as mine or bigger which they did do. I wish this was the only disappointing part of our stay but it was 10 days of hell. There were exposed wires through the corridors as well as paint on the floors, the renovators treated us as like we shouldn't be there and if we wanted to get to our rooms it was inconvenient and were treated like interlopers instead of guests of hotel. My wall I could literally push it in it was that soft and that is something i have never ever experienced, there was dust everywhere including side tables, phone, along the wood around the floor and on the windows that pull in which opened over the top of where my suitcase sat. The furnishings are brown with couple of other colours added in which only added to that awful feeling when you walk into a room. We tried to change air con in our rooms which it looks like you changing temp but after complaining of how hot it was, we were told that the reception staff control temp, but 2 days later we were told the air con doesn't work and we came back to our rooms every afternoon which were like an oven. The towels had to be changed several times due to the constant holes in them, how raggedy they were and were so thin and small you needed more than 1 towel to dry yourself, they were worse than rags. The bathroom had rust in corners, dirt or thickened dust and marks on the underside of sinks as well as walls, windows and the ceiling. I washed my hair on 2nd day and purposely left hair on the shower tiles which was still there when checked out 8 days later. They used masking tape to try fix walls or didn't even bother at some places. The staff were not overly friendly but the guy on night shift thought it was ok to hit my friend up while outside smoking, and when she said no, he asked her if I'd be ok with him coming to my room while I was asleep. The breakfast which we thankfully didn't have was €12 daily for basically croissant or bread which was extreme. The lift only just fits 1 person and 1 suitcase as it is so small. The beds were uncomfortable and the bedding also had holes in it and the so called pillows were as flat as a pancake and the pillowcases weren't long enough for those pancakes to fit into. It was extremely noisy outside during night and every morning you were woken to the garbage trucks or the trucks cleaning the gutters while was still dark outside. Even the artwork looks like children have painted these but they are falling apart of ripped too. Basically this hotel was an absolute disgrace, and I could not believe even at 3 stars how horrible it was. It shouldn't even have a 3 star rating after checking other 3 star hotels in area. Everyone expects small rooms in Paris, but we also expect clean rooms and this hotel has to be one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. I wish all of the above was for just my room but it unfortunately was for both rooms. On our 1st night we found a pizza place not too far and told the owner how horrible it was, his response was "you are the 3rd lot of people who have complained about this hotel this week"........it was a Tuesday night!!! If you don't care where you stay then this place is for you but if you looking for something clean then look elsewhere. …

Dear sir, We are very surprised by your complaint after having stayed 10 nights in a row in our establishment, a dissatisfied person would have asked without delay to change hotel or would have left on their own which was in no case your case. Indeed, the renovation of the common areas of the hotel was completed last week and the photo you shared with us shows the removal of the wallpaper in the hallway during your stay. You had 2 reserved rooms, one of 20.15m² the triple privilege room instead of a classic double and a superior double of 17.60m² instead of a classic double of 12m², you have been upgraded and do not never complain during your entire stay at the reception. Tell us about a pizzeria? There is no existing pizzeria near the hotel? Regarding your false allegations about our staff, we would like to inform you that our team has always been very courteous, respectful and professional, it has never undermined the dignity of our customers, we have never had any derogatory remarks in what concerns them apart from your derogatory reflections!!!

Great Hotel. We stayed here for 5 nights in May. On arrival we were met by Daniel who was most helpful with everything from booking the hop on off bus to booking the Airport transfer to directions. The room was good and met all our needs, long life milk on arrival would have been better so we could have a tea or coffee after travelling. Breakfast was lovely each morning with plenty to have.. we would definitely stay at Pax Opera when in Paris.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel pax opera. Clean, friendly hotel close to Cadet station and restaurants & cafes. Also a little grocery store around the corner handy for some small essentials . We enjoyed the breakfast on offer and especially the friendly staff. There was a little street noise at night, but didn't last for too long. If we return to Paris, we would have no hesitation in re-booking at this hotel. I would highly recommend it.

If your looking a budget hotel in a great location this is the hotel for you. 5 mins from local metro station, 25mins walk to louvre, great shops and restaurants nearby including mcdonalds and starbucks. Rooms are spacious we had a triple room and it was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was continental, small selection fresh croissants and pain au chocolat, fruit, yogurt, toast, cooked meats and fruit juice was delicious and great way to set you up for the day. Lift is small but working fine. Some small decorating going on in corridors but did not impact our stay. Staff were fantastic so friendly, pleasant and accomodating nothing was too much trouble. Would def book again.
