The hotel 's public rooms are beautiful!
The guest rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast is very good but outrageously priced. The best thing about this hotel is its location. It's easy to get everywhere by foot or on the Metro.
I'd do it again!!!

I've stayed in several Starwood properties now and I was quite dissapointed with the service of the staff in this hotel. Concierge was the most dissapointing as I felt that I was only wasting their time and being a nuisance asking them questions. Friendliness in this hotel is almost zero. Beautiful building in classic location between Tuileries and Place Vendome. Grand public spaces on the ground floor (albeit pretty lifeless during our stay) ... different story on 4th floor where we stayed - which was a labarinth (in the old attic level?) with low ceilings and little appeal.

Location perfect ! Hotel pretty! The bar is great! The rooms are ugly ugly ugly ! A dark grey room is not amicable, relaxing, inviting, ppl paint those room in white plssssssss! Being a SPG preferred guest with status helped to get me an upgrade to a fantastic room with an unbeatable view of the Eiffel Tower! Otherwise all the rooms are small and lacking in amenities eg complimentary tea/coffee making facility, in-room DVD player & i-pod dock. The bathroom seriously needs upgrading & some showers are faulty and not working properly....

The rooms are large and very clean. The location is excellent just 2 blocks from Louvre and with a Metro entrance 200ft away.
The service is average (when compared to other big-name hotels) although the Concierge service is very bad.
If you prefer a small boutique hotel then this is NOT your best option.
