The Domaine de Marseillens outside Carcassonne is more like a B&B than a hotel, as you stay in a guest room with bath in the owners' home, and there are no regular hotel services. Our hosts Muryel and Serge were warm, welcoming and full of information on the area. Our accomodations were, beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were varied and the conversation with other guests was lively, interesting and multi-lingual.

Domaine de Marseillens was a delightful place to stay, it was a converted winery and being 200 years old very interesting. This property is in a quiet location, just outside, a five minute drive in fact, from the Old City of Carcassonne. It is also within walking distance for those so energetically inclined.
