We stayed two nights in this hotel built into the cliffside and overlooking the Mediterranean. We had a standard room with a private bathroom. As people have previously stated, the standard rooms are small, very basic, but also very clean... and the stunningly gorgeous view is superlative ! We had a small balcony with two chairs and a table, plus... More

We booked this 2 star hotel as it seemed to have a good location with stunning views. We stayed here for eleven nights this September and these are my observations: The room with ensuite was very very clean. Our room had a little terrace with two chairs and a small table.(room 14) The view was superb you can look towards... More

Prices have gone up a lot here - you now pay 10 euros a day for parking because you have too. The town is so crowded, you are relieved to pay to leave your car somehwere! The hotel still wins on its views. You can be quite happy sitting on the shady terraces all day looking at the town across... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights in May 2010. We stayed in a room with share bathroom which we don't normally do but it was half the price of one with private bathroom, and we couldn't really justify paying twice for a bathroom. We were EXTREMELY happy with what we got. From what I saw there was only... More

I echo every else's opinion------though to my mind it is just a typical sea-resort-town kind of place where the management figures you'll be so interested in the view that it isn't necessary to provide anything else whatsoever. I wouldn't call the room uncomfortable, but to call it "basic" is the understatement of the year. It's particularly a let-down if the... More

Perched up high above the rocks at the edge of the small town of Collioure, the best thing about this hotel is you get a wonderful view of the bay, castle, church and old town and out to the expanse of the Mediterranean. You can also relax on a variety of patios with comfy recliner chairs as you make your... More

I booked Les Caranques because my parents used to stay there years ago, and loved it so much. I've read that they've changed hands and upped the prices. I was really astonished at how basic the rooms were. Not even soap was provided! The only thing they provided in the way of toiletries was some sachets of shower gel. The... More

We chose this hotel for its views and were not disappointed. The hotel itself is not great however, we arrived to find reception closed for lunch, managing to park only because the barrier was broken. Overall, its fine for a 2 star (although not cheap). The rooms are bare, but clean, and rather small - don't take huge cases. As... More

We have been regular visitors to Collioure and Les Caranques. It was taken over in 2010. The prices have increased significantly to those charged by the previous owners without any improvement in the offering which is a basic two star hotel. What it does continue to offer is its position. The breakfast tariff was also increased but there was an... More

We chose this hotel for it's views across the bay -it was lovelyas was the balcony on the sea. The room was bare bones - linoleum floor, white walls with not even a table in the room. With very little effort the room could be lovely. Being set into the hillside on the sea the access was down stairs, that... More
