Cannot speak highly enough of this gorgeous, charming, history filled mansion built in the 1500s or Alain and his staff. My wife and I stayed here in late May 2013 for three nights and had a very memorable stay. The property is in a great location and set back from the charming little street through massive old doors giving it... More

I cannot express just how fantastic Baudon de Mauny is as an experience. Atmospheric, sophisticated, and just an absolute pleasure. Alain the owner is a marvellous, relaxed, considerate and wonderfully cultured host, the staff all lovely and friendly, and the design - an excellent balance between 18th century and contemporary, achieved by Alain's obviously very talented wife - just works... We arrived from Avignon by train and stayed here for 4 nights. The apartment we stayed in had beautiful interior design, was chic, and very cosy. The Papillon room has a lovely small sitting room, the Pavots room has a smaller anti room, and the kitchen was great. Stunning modern art in the breakfast room, and though out the hotel,... More

Stayed here for one night on our way from the Costa Brava on our way to Provence. The city has lots of charm. More authentic in my opinion than Aix. The hotel is hard to find so make sure you get walking directions from the parking garage. Our room, which was one of the largest and more expensive ones was... More

We recently stayed in Baudon de Maunay in the Gypseries room which was huge, beautifully appointed and like all the rooms in this 18th c B & B a perfect juxtaposition of old and new. Alain was charming, helpful and available whenever we needed advice. He booked great restaurants for us and organised a private tour of one of Montpeliers'folies'... More

We loved this hotel. I am very picky about where I stay Baudon de Mauny made me very happy. It is in a historic building in the center of Montpellier - a very charming town. The location made it perfect to see everything and we were also able to see an exhibit on Caravaggio at the museum in Montpellier while... More

I was very pleasantly surprised by this gem in the center of Montpellier. We originally booked it because the cheaper places were full when we went there but we didn't regret it for a second. When arriving we first missed the discrete doorway in to the yard. When entering the door to the lovely lavender smelling yard we instantly felt... More

We absolutely loved Montpellier and the Baudon de Mauny was a key factor in that. Tucked away in the myriad of back streets we missed the door twice, but for a ‘hidden gem’ like this that is what you should expect! The building is absolutely stunning inside and our room was a good size and beautifully decorated with a great... More

It was a real pleasure to be able to stay at such a historic place that has been sympathetically upgraded to provide the best of modern features and comforts whilst retaining the history of the building and location in the old part of Montpellier. Opening the main door into the inner courtyard sets out the scale and grandeur of this... More

We enjoyed an overnight in Montpellier and especially our stay at Baudon de Mauny. The boutique hotel is housed in a gorgeous, historic town-home that's been tastefully restored and furnished with an eclectic touch. You'll need a map to find the hotel int he maze of pedestrianized streets in Montpellier. And parking is tricky. But, once inside the city, it's... More
