Hotel is really nice. Our room is pretty with a queen size bed that is comfy and not lumpy or too soft. We have French doors that open out on to a little terrace on the ground floor just a few steps from the pool..the price is certainly right at 79 euros includes breakfast for two. Bathroom is modern, clean... More

I staryed 4 nights here on business. Having stayed in many hotels, it was nice to stay in a room that wasnt the standard functional square. The hotel is built around a swimming pool, which when the weather is pleasant is a great way to end a day. Didnt eat there so cant comment on restaurant. about 20 minute walk... More

We had 3 nights at the L'Orangerie. Its slightly on the outskirts of Nimes on the main road so easy to get to but still in an attractive green setting. I chose the out of town location as it had free parking and you could still walk to the arena in about 20-25min. Many hotels in the centre don't have... More

We stayed here last summer for two nights. We had diffuculty getting a reservation because of Bastille Day, and this place was one of the few still with availability. I guessed that was bad omen, and set my expectatations prettty low. The hotel is off a highway; there are no sights to see within walking distance. The hotel is surrounded... More

We stayed for 3 nights from August 2nd, and really couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel. The rooms are not large, but comfortable, and the setting and general ambience was lovely. The hotel has a wonderful chef, and we certainly had some lovely meals during our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful also. More

We stayed only a night coming back from a road trip on the Atlantique France so we were very tired when we got there, but service was polite. It is near the autoroute but is surrounded by trees and there was a peaceful place with private parking, garden, a swimming-pool with deckchairs. Room was wonderful, large, elegant, franch design, rococo... More

Location is handy, but not charming (off a main road around Nimes) though it is not noisy. There is a nice, small pool (very cold!), and there is a Casino cafeteria close by which was great for the kids/ tea. The food in the hotel was fine, nothing special, though breakfast was very nice. We has 2 adults and 2... More

The prior review by Mandelbrot says it all. We arrived in Nimes after an all-day drive from Dijon. At the time, Tripadvisor had a fairly high rating for the hotel (#4 of 36, or something like that). Based on this rating, we booked a room at L'Orangerie. As a preliminary matter, to get there, you have to drive through Nimes,... More

This hotel committed two cardinal sins in my book. Firstly, we booked it as a stopover on a very long car journey - 1200 miles - and key to this was an ability to arrive, eat and sleep. Despite extensive advertising as a hotel with excellent dining -its own literature decribes it as one of its prestige dining hotels -... More

The hotel is very quiet, comfortable and was within easy walking distance to Nimes centre. Would rate this hotel as a 3 star. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dining was excellent with great presentation. More
