The hotel was adequate for the money paid. Though near to the centre we found the surrounding area very uncomfortable - the only place on our trip through France and Spain where we did not feel safe. There was no restaurant within 100m as detailed in the etap book .

If you are passing through to a further location and you are looking for a place to stay for a night - this is it. It's a bit out of the center of Limoges, but that's only a minor issue. A spacious parking lot is also provided at 5 Euro extra.

This hotel was in a bad state of repair. The shower window was broken and previous attempts had been made to repir it without success. The receptionist was not very accomodating. The hotel is in walking distance of the town centre and the main railway station which makes it very well situated.

We stayed to break the journey home from Spain. Rooms were clean and comfortable though the shower/toilet rooms are small. Reception staff very helpful. Lots of restaurants within a mile walk/ drive and parking was easy. Our second night stop over in France en route to the South was in Limoges. I booked the Etap hotel in advance on line - it was very easy.
