A friend and I were going on a tour of the Normandy beaches and so we just needed a place to stay for one night. We got there very late so we had called ahead of time to make sure that was okay and they were waiting for us. As some people have said previously this hotel is actually now...

Small hotel in central Bayeux. Rooms are tiny but clean. Staff at reception are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good with fresh fruit salad, yogurts, cheese, ham, bread, croissants, etc. Unfortunately there was roadwork on the front street, so a very noisey start to the day at about 8:30 am. The hotel decoration is old fashioned and a bit...

We arrived to find an odd set-up - the hotel had been taken over by the hotel next door. Quite a lengthy walk around the perimeter with our suitcases to find the main reception desk followed!
The hotel is quite dark and heavy in terms of decor, floral wallpaper and strong colours but the rooms were fine for sleeping in....

I was surprised to read some of the bad reviews of this place. I thought it was great!! The staff were some of the nicest people we met our whole time in France -- they helped with taxis, told us where to go, recommended restaurants. They even walked us up to our room to make sure everything was okay. The...

Let's be honest - this is not a nice hotel. The reception staff are rude. The hotel is not conveniently located. The rooms are small (very small). There are much better choices in this very wonderful city. we needed one night until we could move to the La Castel Guesthouse - which is amazingly wonderful.
The #1 requirement of a hotel is a clean and sanitary condition, and on that this fails miserably. The bedding was noticeably not well maintained and my wife and I both woke with bed bug bites. Unfortunately we were given poor advice to not book in Bayeux ahead of time, and just saunter around looking for accomodations---this could not be...

The hotel is combined with Hotel Luxembourg that seems to be linked only by its kitchen. You check-in at the hotel Luxembourg which was efficient and friendly.
The rooms were small (seems to be the French standard) but clean and the bathroom big enough and also clean. TV channels are as expected,.... all French; even though there was a message...

The town of Bayeux was a great place to spend the night after our trip to the Normandy beaches. It's a nice walkable small and very old town that's got some nice restaurants and shops.
The hotel rooms were clean and a good size. I had no interactions with any of the staff as I didn't do the check-in or...

The service at the hotel is very friendly, and the staff went the extra mile to help us with our visit.
The rooms are basic, but clean. Each has a desk, a bathroom, and there is free Wi-fi.
It is in the centre of Bayeux, which is great for exploring the city, or the whole of Normandy if you have...
