If you are looking for that real French experience then this is not for you. The room was clean and functional, the staff friendly and helpful. The rack rate for a twin room is about 80 Euros per room per night and offers reasonable value. The breakfast was fine but was over priced at 9 Euros per head. The evening... More

The room was clean but sadly the toilet seat had seen better days and a stronger bleach should be used in the toilet! However, the bed was very comfortable. Don't bother unpacking as wardrobe space is extremely limited. We had a meal at the hotel on the first evening which was pretty poor and over-priced. We didn't eat there again... More

Hubby and I stayed here, on a B&B basis, with a coach party on our tour of the Normandy Beaches and Mont St Michel, at the end of May 2011. Our room was basic, but clean, with a very small bathroom - perfectly adequate for a budget break. However, we dined in the hotel restaurant on our first night and... More

Stayed here with group of coach passengers on WWII tour. Did meal first night but only small and could barely manage one coach party in let alone 2!! Friendly enough staff but like many French small hotels shuts early and the bar was closed at 9pm on the Saturday night!! Coulndt get a drink after a long weary day visiting... More

We had two rooms, both were small, as were the bathrooms, but it was clean. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was outstanding! The hotel itself is off the beaten path and not all the bus lines ran regularly enough to be convenient for us. Prepare to walk a bit to catch a bus, especially on a weekend or... More

I used the hotel as a ferry stopover, the triple room was cramped but functional. The main drawback was the musty smell to the room. The hotel is convenient for the peace memorial, however I will find alternatives in the future. The TV channel selection was good and included BBC 1.

I cannot understand the bad reviws this hotel has been getting. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of an organised visit to Caen, Bayeux , the "D-Day" beaches and Mont St. Michel. Our coach was delayed by very heavy Easter traffic around Caen but the hotel staff were very obliging ,seeing we got qutickly settled into our... So many bad reviews deserve some balancing out. This hotel is perfectly adequate for the budget traveller who needs a cheap night just off the motorway with plenty of parking and a good continental breakfast. Rooms are small but OK. Hair dryer, tea and coffee in room, TV and phone is good for a small 2 star. Wi Fi available.... More

We stayed here for three nights as part of a tour group visiting the Bayeux Tapestry, Mont St Michel and various WWII sites around the Normandy landing beaches. The hotel itself is not bad at all. The location, however, without a car is very poor. I'm not keen on all the bright orange paintwork in the reception area, corridors &... More
