This hotel has been recently renovated and is a cosy little building tucked away in a little street just off the main road. The interior is clean and new, if a bit dark due to the dim lighting, but is only about a 5 minute walk to the famous Rouen cathedral and the old town. The hotel owner was a... More

We booked this hotel on booking.com for a great price ($62 Euro for one night, 3 people). I was traveling with two other girls and we found the hotel a little hard to find. But once we found it the woman working at the front desk was very pleasant (she spoke English) and the hotel was nicely decorated if a... More

I stayed at this hotel in June 2011. The hotel is well located near the city and historical center and quite charming. The room was basic but very comfortable; it was a nice room for the price. The best part of this hotel is definitely the management, the owners. The owners were very helpful when my mom and brother arrived... More

First and foremost: choosing this hotel means getting a friendly, family-like ambience. The proprietor, Mr. Vionnet, did everything to cheer things up (and so did his assistant, Miss Elodie, who unfortunately for boss as well as guests, should have emigrated, going to Canada, since our departure). The room was kept perfectly clean, and everyday there were new soaps and clean... More

The owner of the hotel couldn't have been more helpful - he even let me use his phone to make an urgent call home as my own phone wasn't getting a signal. The room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. Rouen isn't a particularly large city but, having said that, the hotel is ideally situated for the railway... More

First I would like you to read the email I recieved from the owner. Dear Madam, Please accept our apologize for the bad experience you had in our hotel. The fact is that an accumulation of small events made your stay "complicated". I do understand your anger and I feel very sorry for that. Your had an appropriate reaction and... More

Chose to stay in this hotel for 1 night of our driving trip and when we (eventually) found the hotel we were very impressed. The manager spoke excellent English and was very welcoming; he apaologised that the hotel was in the middle of being renovated. We stayed in a four person room and the beds were very comfortable. At such... More

We stayed in two rooms for 1 night in April 2011. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. They have recently purchased the place and were renovating. The rooms are basic but comfortable and the location is very good. It was excellent value for money. Parking is a bit of a problem but we managed to find a suitable place.... More

My husband and I stayed here two nights. We arrived at the train station from Paris then walked the few blocks down Rue de Jeanne d'Arc to get to this hotel. The man and wife who own the place are very friendly and helpful, and they offer a good value for the room. The location is great for anyone wanting... More

I think this hotel used to be a bit dour, but since three weeks ago, it has been under new management, and the man running it is super friendly and committed to making it a more cheery place by remodeling the eating area, creating comfy reading corners, etc. Not just one of the cheapest hotels around but a very pleasant...
