There were chipped tiles, dirty grouting, and unhygienically exposed pipework in the bathroom, which was poorly equipped - one doesn't expect to have to provide one's own shower gel and shampoo. We spent four nights here--the rooms were lovely, the hotel is charming and located directly across from the train station. Everything in town is within walking distance and the tourist bureau has good information. The Hotel is very conveniently situated near the station but not noisey. All the places of interest in Angers are well within walking distance from the Hotel. All the Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and English speaking. Eating at the Bistro attached to the Hotel was ideal and reasonably priced but limited menu. More

Large hotel within walking distance of the station, although we drove. Car park is in the next street on the first floor, quite tricky wouldn't recommend if you are a nervous driver.
