A little challenging to find, despite the signs (even the second time around)! Great location. Walk to the heart of it in a block or two. Rooms are outdated, but it's an old monastery. And, it's clean. Price is reasonable, on the cheaper side. Would stay here again.

Located in the centre of Aix with free parking is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. Our room (albeit in the lower price range) was very small with no space for a luggage stand amongst the tatty bits of mismatched furniture. What I can't get is that both Michelin Green and The Rough Guide recommended this place. The mood is established as soon as you walk up to the entry door. To your right there's a sign that reads "do not LOOK at the Dog." For those Doubting Thomases out there, I'd advise you to try it. Just once. But once... More

The hotel is simple, but has a great location. The service is not great at all. The people at the reception were unfriendly. The breakfast is for French standards disappointing. AT least it is not expensive.

Have stayed here for past 12 years. Refurbishment of rooms in 2011-12 has helped. Mobile air conditioners help in high summer heat. Breakfast a delight in old convent cloisters. Staff helpful, especially if one makes an effort to speak a bit of French(THEIR language!). Location superb, especially for getting back, late at night, from opera etc....walking not driving.
