Our family stayed at L'Atrium recently. Due to our train schedule, we arrived in Aix en provence early, and the Hotel staff was able to facilitate us checking in early which was great. Our family (4 of us) were booked into one of the "apartments" which as we discovered has one bedroom and a separate living room with a roll... More

I paid £57 for a late booking and would say it was excellent value. I was nearly put off by the reviews on here but glad I wasn't. The kitchen area was handy with a supermarket directly opposite. The room was quiet, dark and the bed comfortable, I have had a lot worse sleeps in much more expensive hotels. I... More

You will get more charm checking into a polyclinic. The hotel is downright depressing. We stayed with the idea that the kitchenette would be useful with a family. The kitchenette is almost useless apart from heating something up in the microwave, no kettle, no chopping board, no knife to cut bread. There is so much wrong with this hotel i... More

Arrived after a nightmare drive with small children through Aix in boiling heat, I was greeted by a very pleasant group of receptionists who did their best to make me feel welcome. The family room was ok and the location great. The place is a little soul-less, very much like a large hotel chain. Fine for a stop-over night, and... More

I mad my reservation to the Hotel du Soleil in Aix en Provence, France thru Hotels.com, whom we have tried to reach to complain but will not respond in three days. WE arrived after a long trip to Aix en Provence, and we could not stay in the hotel. It is run down, dirty, the doors of the corridors squeak,... More

We chose the hotel for its location and the fact that they offer a family room - it really excels in this regard, we had two rooms with small bathroom and kitchen area (including a fridge and stove), it is just a short stroll from the old centre - which is really convenient!. Also as it is self-catering, it is... More

Pros: 1) very friendly staff; 2) lots of space - a suite with sa itting room, bedroom, and kitchenette; 3) a reasonable price; 4) a 2 minute walk to the centre of downtown; and 5) accessible parking that costs 12 euros a night. Cons: 1) the room was worn down, especially the bathroom; 2) dirty dishes had been left in... More

I Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at this hotel. It is worth what you pay, but not very well kept. Carpets are stained, curtains could do with revamping and the pillows are lumpy. My greatest moan however is the smell in the corridors on the third floor and hairs and old soap droplets in the bathroom. Considering we... More

Having read the previous reviews about the lack of toilet paper, this looked like short term management oversight that would have been remedied by the time of our one night stay- nope - at the Hotel du Soleil - toilet paper rationing is a raison d'etre. Having sat for two hours in a jam on the motorway and arriving at... More

We stayed here for one night, arriving in the evening and leaving early morning. It was ok for this kind of stay. Any longer and we would have been complaining. The apartment had basic facilities. A comfortable double bed in the bedroom and a fold out sofa in the lounge room plus a mini kitchen. The walls looked neglected, but... More
