We booked a "chambre privilege" and were given the choice of a large ground floor room with a bathroom (the room had a fire place as well) or a mordernized room on the second floor with a shower. We selected the room on the 2nd floor because of the view over the vineyards. The room was comfortable and clean, thedouble... More

We finished our Canal de Midi cruise and wanted to explore the wine region. It was a little more than we wanted to spend but it was worth it!!! The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious. We had big windows we could open wide and view the sweep of the vineyards. The vineyard itself was impressive and had great outdoor... More

Hi stayed at Chateau des Fines Roches for a wedding and it was truly wonderful. The castle was completely rented out for the wedding. The staff was amazing. The owners are wonderful and attend to your every whim. The setting is superb, there are beautiful vineyards and olive trees everywhere. The wine is very good. Our room was adorable and... More

I really wanted to like this place. Situated on a hilltop with amazing views of the valley with the ramparts of Avignon in the distance and a stone's throw away from the Chateauneuf-du-Pape ruins. Two adults + two tweens stayed 4 nights in front corner room with lovely views (averaged ~450 euros per night). Room itself was big and clean.... More

We stayed two nights and really enjoyed ourselves. You can not help but feel pampered there. We usually treat ourselves once during our trips to Europe. Either an big event like a Formula 1 race, or a 2 star dinner, or a ritzy hotel. This year it was this place. The food and wine choices are fabulous. We did not... More

Just outside of the town and surrounded by vineyards is this beautiful hotel perched on the top of a hill. As you drive up the long road and pass through the vines, you get glimpses of the crenelated towers of the buiding. Getting out of the car, you are hit with a wave of locust sounds and lavendar. The hotel... More

From the moment you arrive you know you are somewhere special. The Chateau is set among the vineyards and overlooks rolling hills of the wine country. The room was very nicely appointed with a luxury bath and comfortable bed. I would recommend the restaurant. We opted to eat in the village the second night of our stay and felt it... More

My husband and I very much looked forward to a stay at "a castle". Unfortunately, this experience turned out rather badly. The proprietor (gentleman) of the hotel seemed unfriendly upon arrival and the castle, as such, was rather uninteresting. Everything shuts down early and if you return to the hotel at night, there is no way to get in. The... More

After reading some negative reviews I wasn't quite sure what to expect but went ahead and book a stay anyway as the photos look really lovely and we were looking for some place nice near the vineyards. We arrived pretty late, around 9.30 in the evening. The receptionist was very friendly she showed us to our rooms, asked if they... More
