Le Royal is the place to stay if you're in Nice. Ask for the renovated rooms (sea facing) and your stay will be absolutely memorable. I booked this hotel via Vacancesbleues.com and did half board . Buffet French breakfast ( ie nothing hot except coffee and tea . Even if the splendour has faded, we had a lovely stay at Le Royal. We chose a sea view room, and it was just great, sitting there in front of the big window after all the walking, listening to the sounds of the city and looking at the beautiful sea. The hotel is close to the sea on the famous beach road of Nice, Promenade des Anglais. The rooms have old furnitures and no godd facilities. You listen everything around from the other rooms.
