Good location near the port area with bars cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Hot stuffy little rooms with no air con, but we managed to coax a ceiling fan into life. Dated and cramped bathrooms. Friendly staff, good price, and a very nice breakfast, so just crept into the four stars bracket for me.

The hotel is well positioned and overlooks Lac du Bourget. The room we stayed in - a 2 bedroom family suite was comfortable but pretty basic. The breakfast was pretty good, but it was almost eerie there were no signs of life from staff anywhere in the hotel until exactly 0800 when the breakfast area opened.

L'Iroko is all about its location, but they've done a fine job of ticking other boxes too. It's situated in the Grand Port, facing the lake, surrounded by restaurants, boats, promenades and activities. Just perfect! Very nice room, with balcony, warm, clean, tidy, big samsung tv, big bed and wardrobe, spacious room. Bathroom with huge mirror, lovely gel shower, soups, conditioner available. We stayed here for three nights and were very comfortable. We had the corner room, which was a great size, with 2 balconies. We stayed at the L'iroko for one night and don't understand the other comments. The staff is friendly but the building itself is very old school. The room itself was small with urinyellow walls and very old furniture. But the bathroom was renovated nicely. All in all, the Hotel is standable but NOT at all for this price!
