Firstly, this was a trip with my youngest son of 22 for a bit of father son bonding. I booked the hotel for location and as I was paying the accomodation was in a much lower price range than I would normally select. Having initially winced at the basic small twin room I actually found it quite adaquate and the... More

The only good thing is the place, the room are little, dirty and the elevator is like a mousetrap. I never never seen in my life a place so awful! And wifi doesn't work!! I talk with the girl at the reception but she still say that works, how not! Only in the hall! The price? 91 euro at night,... More

Centrally located, the hotel is basic. Rooms are ensuite with TV; free WiFi a big bonus. For the price paid it represents good VFM. Metered street parking outside, free after 7PM. You can feed the meter after 7PM with €5 maximum, so you can lie in until 10:30 the next day. Except alternate Sundays which are market days. More

Most of the hotel is ok, but the rooms are small. You hear sounds from the corridor and rooms around you. Bathroom is naice and clean, it`s also upgraded last years. We got only one key for our room, and it was a problem for the staff to understand thet we needed two keys. Breakfast was ok with cheese, ham,... More

Stayed for 2 nights. Hotel is located a short walk away from the Gare Perrache train station. Perfect if you need to catch an early train, etc. Staff lacks personality or the urgency to be helpful, but we checked in with no problems. Rooms are clean & beds comfy, but the rest of the hotel needs some updating. I would... More

We really enjoyed this hotel. It's location was ideal, situated on the square, Place Carnot, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby, walking distance to the old town and right beside the train station. They gave us a large room on the 6th floor with a balcony overlooking the square. The bathroom was small but workable, clean with lots of... More

I Stayed at this Hotel one night only for a buiness trip. It is in a good central location for walking up through shopping districts and restaurant areas. The Airport Shuttle bus stops just 25m away across the road, and is an easy way to get into the city with frequent departures at 8.60 euros. The reception staff were helpful... More

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I stayed here with my boyfriend while he was on a trip for work. I was eaten alive by bed bugs. It was the most miserable experience. I actually saw them crawling on the sheets but didn't know what they were at first. We switched rooms but it didn't help. Ended up seeing a doctor in... More

I stayed at the Campanile for just one night (2 would have been my death!) in November with a friend. The location is great, the hotel looks nice from the outside but inside...my oh my! The staff is like robots. They tell you what you should know with ready made sentences, no smile, no friendliness. The room is simply HORRIBLE!... More

I chose this hotel last June because I was catching the 7:45 to Le Puy, and was just spending the day in Lyon. It is in a nice square past the highways that separate the gare from the main city, so it's easy to walk into the city, but also only 3 minutes to get to your train. Otherwise, it... More
