It is very tranquil, with well-trained and attentive staff, and very good facilities: indoor pool with sun terrace; all rooms with balconies/terrace facing the town and forest; and an excellent buffet breakfast. Yes it’s dated by trendy modern standards - but it surpasses the majority of hotels we visit in the UK by a very comfortable margin. The rooms, though a tad worn around the edges, are clean, warm, inviting, and scrupulously clean with crisp white bed linen, dressing gowns and slippers.
