We spent a week-ent in Mercure Ga-Pa and we were very satisfied there. It is not in the city center of Garmish but I appreciate free public transport to the center, it takes 5 mins maximum.
What is really a highlight of the hotels is the breakfast, traditional bavarian salamis, french cheese etc. We really enjoyed! Unfortunatelly weather was bad...

My husband and I just stayed at this hotel over the weekend. I have stayed at other Accor properties and felt based on that and the views on TripAdvisor I was making a sound choice - WRONG! There are many things wrong with this hotel - but most importantly is the location. Yes, it is located in a quaint little...

We used this hotel for a week while we were holding skiing, snowboarding and x-country competitions. We, means a group of about 100 people, so that meant that the hotel was almost completely filled by us.
This also meant that we all arrived together back at the hotel after the skiing (and apres-ski...) resulting in cold water in the shower....

I travel to Garmisch and Oberammergau for business on a very regular basis. The Mercure was everything I wanted for work travel. It was clean, well lighted, modern, decent bed, good tv and wireless internet access. I do not need bavarian kitsch which is thankfully (for me) absent in the rooms. We had a 2-day stay and had a great time at this location. We wished that we had more time to enjoy the atmosphere and quaint surroundings. The staff were very helpful and professional. We had a defective heater, and once reported, we were given a portable heater until it was promptly repaired the next day. We loved the great...

Reception staff were very polite, and all spoke excellent English. They could not do enough to help.
Room was warm and clean, bed was comfortable, and the shower water pressure was good.
I think this town is a ski resort, and we went in the summer, so it wasn't too busy.
Beautiful area.
Also gay friendly, if you were wondering.

Reception staff were fabulous. Our room was nice though a bit small with 3 people, but not a deal breaker. Location was fine if your skiing (we did) and somewhat close to downtown. There were great restaurants right out the door and down the street. A grocery store right out the door was great too. We had dinner one night...

Stayed here for 2 nights (2 adults and 2 young children). The family room was very good value and the inclusive breakfast set us up well for the day - a wonderful spread of hot and cold food. The location is excellent - Ludwigstrasse next to the hotel is a delight to wander along and its a pleasant 20/30 min...
