I stayed at the Maritim hotel last week and was a bit disappointed to tell you the truth. The pictures on the website look great and would suggest a very upmarket affair. The entrance is shabby, the lobby had a musty smell and there is no mobile phone coverage on the lower ground floor. The hotel doesn't even have WIFI... More

Ok the good things first: Good service, clean rooms. Pool/Spa/Sauna. Not so good: Decor of the hotel brings you back to the 80's, including the fat little tube in-room television - no LCD's here. They have no amenities in the rooms - no in-room safe, no tea/coffee making facilities, no spare blankets/pillows. You need to request all of the above... More

Overall a good hotel, customer service was good. The bed could be better.... It is a block away from the train station, so if you are moving around by train or staying overnight it is your best option. It was not noisy and our stay was very pleasant, I will recommend this hotel, and I will stay again! More

This Maritim hotel is convenient and was well priced for Oktoberfest 2010. Using Priceline's name-your-own-price feature, I was able to get a well priced room here for opening weekend of the festival (far lower than direct quote). The Maritim is old, but currently under renovation. The overall atmosphere of the bar, breakfast room, etc brings you back twenty years ago. The team members are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is generous. Challenge for couples: most rooms are twin bedded, so they just lay beds closer, but bye bye intimacy or yoou risk falling in between beds.... More

it was a 10 minute walk to the Thersienweisen and a 3 minute walk to the train station, very convenient. The room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and everyone spoke English More
