Jagdschloss is a very cosy and lovely hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and warm, which was much needed for the Munich winter! There was a nice selection of food and drink available at breakfast which was a nice start to each day.

We are staying close by and our host told us this is the spot for Bavarian food, so so right. Great service, delicious food and beverage, highly highly recommended! The beer garden looked fun, hoping for some nice weather to try it out!

One stereotype that abounds about Americans is that we know no other language. This is largely true, but we have found that if you try, people respond well. This is certainly not true of the waitress we met. She had no time for us and our broken German, and when the waiter told us to sit anywhere, we unfortunately sat in her section. Always stand and observe first! She made it clear she wanted to spend no time with us, and she did have a large table of businessmen in her section. It was only by standing up and preparing to leave that we received a bill, after asking twice. The food ? Quite good, but that is not what we will remember. This is also a hotel, but it won't be on our list to revisit.

Set in a leafy suburban setting with well appointed modernly fitted rooms, this is a comfortable place to stay. The downside was the small single bed in my room which detracted from the otherwise pleasant stay.

Hotel was a small building with a restaurant downstairs and rooms upstairs. The rooms including the bathroom were very good and recently upgraded with good taste. Breakfast downstairs was basic but decent. Very happy with the stay. Would definitely return back when I come back to Munich.

I enjoyed my stay, but the staff is not very committed. It is more than obvious that you get more attention if you are local. The food was average to me. You have to order bavarian dishes. They are quite good. I did not enjoy a Wiener Schnitzel for example... Lot of space for improvements... Anyway, I can recommend it despite of lacks.

We had dinner at Jagdschloss before deciding to stay in the hotel a few days later and we loved the Bavarian food and the staff was super friendly and spoke English which I was thankful since my German is elementary. The rooms are super modern and very clean. They looked brand new or recently remodeled. The restaurant is so cute and has lots of seating. We sat inside on the first occasion and then outside after that. Both were ideal. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Munich. Great neighborhood and a lovely experience. ~An American Traveler

This place has a lot of potential. It offers nice and clean rooms. The hotel is also situated in a nice neighbourhood. It has a beer garden. The food is quite typically Bavarian. The meat dishes are good, but avoid the fish (too oily and greasy). The staff are quite helpful with the exception of what I think is the owner. This man was like a German Basil Fawlty. He never smiled, made me feel like a nuisance and even disappeared into the kitchen after I paid him for a meal (and by doing so giving himself a tip). Now, some of the waitresses might have deserved one, but this man certainly didn't. He clearly prefers some costumers (the regulars and locals) over others. Offering basic hotels services seemed like gargantuan tasks for him. My conclusion: only visit it if you are Bavarian or if you want to experience Fawlty Towers in real life.

The hotel is something typical Bavarian. (22 persons - having a 4 days-meeting there). .One afternoon we wanted to sit at two tables in the guests-room ("Wirtsstube") to work in a small group for an hour (only 2 other couples in the two rooms, one room without any guests), we were not allowed to sit there ( all are NON smokers!), even with extra consumation, had to sit outside under a "sunblind"- it was raining and very cold, see picture. We got blankets ... that was all. Not even a "thank you" or " have a save travel".. with the hotelbill. Just NOTHING. Staff was not friendly at all. None of us would recommend this hotel!
