We stayed for four nights in room 21 and were mauled by Bed bugs. It took us till the final evening to realise that it was bed bugs biting us as we had never encountered bedbugs before. I spent the following week itching like crazy with multiple bites and welts. The hotel reimbursed us for 3 of our 4 nights only after some effort on our part. Just now I read other reviews (e.g., ReiserSydney - why oh why didn't I read this earlier) about bedbugs in the same room the month before - THE HOTEL KNEW THEY WERE THERE AND STILL LET PEOPLE STAY IN THE ROOM!! This is Appalling. The hotel did refund three of our four nights on being advised of the problem but refused to refund all four nights. In addition, the corridor outside our room had one of those nasty air "fresheners" installed so there was a horrible cloying and sickly smell and taste whenever we went up the stairs. There were no staff available in the evening and no one answered the phone when we discovered the bedbugs late on our last night. As our room was directly above the (absolutely fabulous) adjacent Indian restaurant dining tables we could smell the food if the windows were open (not a problem for us but might be for some) and also peoples cigarette smoke. It was hot and the room wasn't airconditioned. Basically my advice is to stay elsewhere.

Great staff, accessible by large bus. Provides a over night parking lot for coach. Breakfast was ok for a budget group journey. Rooms are clean, organized, well furnitured and great to get some work done at night. Very quite village like atmosphere in the neighborhood and surroundings invite to walk along the creek.

This was an awful experience. We checked into Hotel Schleuse on Wednesday 18 July and left at 1.30am after my daughter awoke with more than 6 bugs crawling on her in her bed. The bugs looked like bed bugs - see photo. We discovered more of the bugs crawling on the walls above the other beds as well. The hotel said they were fully booked so could not move us to another room and agreed not to charge us for our stay.

The hotel is located at the beginning of B8 in North -West Munich, so the location is good both to visit cities around by car, and to explore Munich center: the hotel is 5 min by car from Moosach P+R, where you can park for 1 day at 1€ and take the U3 to the center. The hotel has a small parking. The family room was big and comfortable, with double window on the rear (the falling water is noisy but the windows well insulate the room). We do not have breakfast at the hotel, but visit one of the several “backerei” at walking distance. The reception is open only in the afternoon till 10 p.m.

I have stayed at this hotel several times before. I like the location as it is close to were some of my friends live. The one very visible negative change is the service level. Lack of communication by the hotel staff. Was NOT told that Breakfast is now served at the Weichandhof (a problem on a rainy day or in winter!). Had to find this out myself in the morning (reception not staffed!!) nor that WiFi would only be good for 2 days when staying 3 days. Arrived in the evening of day 3 and had no more WiFi!! Calling the Weichandhof was NOT successful!! There should be a direct Line at NO cost to the hotel guest!! During some very hot days we had in Munich (over 30 C), rooms were even hotter. There should have been some ventilation provided as no air conditioning in the hotel. Closing all windows made it worst!

We visited in March and it was beautiful so I can only imagine how pretty it is in the summer! The rooms were clean and adequately stocked. My daughter left some jewlery in her room and didn't realize it until we were at the airport. I contacted the front desk and they arranged to have it mailed back to Canada which we were very grateful for. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is located in the suburb 10 km west of Munich, around 30 minutes drive to the city center. The building was country inn-like, low-rise and next to a pretty brook. Our rooms on the uppermost floor were simple, with exposed timber beams. The building has no elevator, so we had to drag our luggages up the narrow stairs. Actually, the staff offered an alternative of underground rooms, which we of course declined. There was only heater, no air conditioner. No amenities in the bathroom except soaps and disposable plastic cups. Slow speed wi-fi. Breakfast was nice which also included cold cuts, cheeses and boiled eggs. Cappucino was also available. The hotel was next to an Indian restaurant with a traditional restaurant and a KFC nearby.

The hotel is very nice, friendly staffs and clean. We booked family room. We enjoyed staying there. We have enough space for 5 of us. 2 adults and 3 children. The location is great, very close to the highway. The breakfast is standard Germany breakfast. They have free parking, wifi. Very close to KFC, Greece restaurant, Indian restaurant and Germany restaurant. Gas/Tank stations in the area. When we visit Munich again, this hotel would be our first choice.

We have booked 3 rooms in this nice property. We have just arrived before 22.00 (eventually after this reception is closing and you may miss your checkin :( ) and had a smooth checkin process. Staff is very friendly and helpful - the only negative thing is rooms does not have AC... the rest is OK - location is good if you are staying there overnight which we did during our way to Schwangau.
