We stayed in this hotel couple of times. Good location, a walking distance to Laimer Platz with a lot of restaurants and shops and a subway station. Rooms are quite small but very clean and have everything that is required for a good sleep. Looks like they made some renovation recently, everything looks new. Breakfast is very good, a plenty of different food. Service is attentive. Bottom line: a perfect place to stay for sleeping in a quiet district within a subway distance from the Munich downtown center.

We stayed here during Oktoberfest when it's hard to find anywhere decent and good value. We were really happy with this small hotel and the train station was only an 8 min walk away. Parking was on the street but not a problem and was free.Breakfast was really good with lots of variety and good, friendly service. Our room was comfortable and quiet , recently renovated and with a nice view over the back garden.

The Hotel Petri is a nice simple place in the outskirts of Munich. It is not really walking distance to old town. There is a nice garden sitting area in the back. We took advantage of this one evening by having dinner there. We came across a really good and inexpensive Turkish carry out restaurant around the corner. The rooms were typical size for European hotel. They served a semi warm breakfast. The only negative for two days we we here they were unable to get the wifi to work. Only in the lobby did we get a signal.

I stayed in this hotel with my one of friend. Though the rooms are like in old fashioned but very comfortable, nice bedding etc. It has a beautiful courtyard where anyone can relax and have some drinks. Their breakfast is full of varieties and they provide an excellent menu for every kind of person. I am a vegetarian, so it was great for me too. The owner, a lady, was very sweet and kept appreciating me for having typical polite Indian manners. As we wanted to visit German Alps and wanted to have day-tours, for that hotel is on great location and also close to a beergarten..Very much recommended.. 👌

This 3 stars' hotel is a family business hotel. The rooms are simple but nice, breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly. The only disadvantage that I can say is the price of the night was expensive from the value point of view. But this may be because of the timing of the stay. and Yes: another disadvantage, there is no elevator

A large party stayed just two nights at this lovely friendly hotel that catered for all our needs.......clean, comfortable, welcoming, small lounge, pretty garden with tables and chairs for the summer weather. Breakfast - well a wonderful buffet of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses, eggs, breads and croissants, endless coffee. Thank you Hotel Pétri. Perfect.

My wife and I had to book a room here at the very end of our vacation and for our last night in Germany. We didn't expect great things because the booking was very reasonable for prices in Munich. That we were surprised by the beauty of the place and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is an understatement. The room we had, which was a double, was roomy, very clean and the hotel has a beautiful courtyard where we sat out our last night there and also were we enjoyed a beautiful breakfast buffett [included in our booking price]. The three staff members which we had dealings with helped us in a whole host of ways and were so kind and friendly, it was just like we were family! I couldn't recommend more highly this little hotel [don't be fooled by the looks outside!]. If we ever are in Munich again we are definitely planning to stay here, the only problem in telling all these things is that I'm afraid that it will become too popular and we won't be able to book it next time!

I have choosen the hotel due to the fact that it is close to Laimer Platz (U-Bahn) and not too far from Laim (S-Bahn) app. 15-20 min walk. I called before I arrived in the hotel (stayed for 2 nights) as the check in is only possible until 9pm normally but it was no problem to go for 10pm instead. When I arrived and rang the bell nothing happened but there was a number stated on the door and after I called someone opened. I had a room in the rear house - which was really looking like furnitured in the 60ths or something around that time with a small bed (app. 1 meter) therefore if you like that style the hotel is pretty ok but I am more a modern person ;-). The breakfast was nice and the staff friendly - I just missed the Brezn! Overall price - service was pretty good as there was a fair in Munich. Even if it is not directly on a main street it was relatively loud in the morning.
