My wife and I stayed here on Nov.1,2. The staff is helpful but busy since the restaurant is very popular. The room was fair size and clean. The breakfast was average. The room was quiet and I suspect it was the time of year since we overlooked the street. In summer it will be hot without AC and with plenty of... More

From the website I thought that Hotel Ludwigs was going to be a charming, airy hotel. I was wrong. While the restaurant level of the hotel is cute, the rooms are TINY and completely devoid of any character. plain white bed, walls almost touching both sides of the bed it was such a narrow room. Nice modern bathroom. Room overlooked... More

Room was clean and simple. Had a nice view of the street and and very central. The bathroom was a good size and was very clean. The breakfast was terrible, stale bread and not very fresh cheese, meat and fruit. The staff was extremely rude and made our stay unpleasant. Even when I tried to speak some German with the... More

The room and bathroom were spacious with modern furnishings. It was very warm which was key as we travelled during January. The street it is located on is pedestrian only but they have off street parking behind the hotel. There is a restaurant below the rooms which is open to the public and can get quite busy as the hotel... More

This is a nice hotel in pedestrian zone of Fussen. It was only about a 6 minute walk from the train station - so very easy to get to. Unlike other reviewers I also had to leave the windows open at night but the restaurant closed and the street was quiet after 10:00 pm so I had no problem sleeping.... More

I agree with some of the other reviewers, other than the great central location the stay in the hotel itself is rather unpleasant. Being above the restaurants there is no sleep at night, the windows have to stay open due to the extreme heat so both light and noise are endless. Luckily we were only there for 2 nights. The... If I hadn't had to sleep in this hotel, I would have given it four stars. It's in a great location and the rooms are lovely. Beautiful wooden floors and furniture, fluffy white bedding, overall excellent appearances. The housekeeping staff were very helpful and friendly. But. The bed was not at all comfortable. And the curtains didn't fit the windows,... More

I had to check my calendar to see if we had ended up at Hotel Ludwigs on a Friday the 13th because, well, service was just plain weird. I suppose the staff of Hotel Ludwigs can get away with service with no smiles whatsoever, because the hotel is so centrally located and really, a pretty decent hotel. But it is... More

My husband I stayed here for the first 2 nights of a 2-week trip, and it was definitely one of our favorite hotels/B&Bs. The room was very clean and comfortable, had a nice view of the street in front of the hotel, and there was free parking directly behind the building. The included breakfast was slightly above average compared to... More

The hotel itself is nice and clean. Just the only person that smiles there was the woman, that was serving breakfast. The receptionist/waitress should be retrained ,cause i don't think that she likes her job. The staff should also learn English cause if we wouldn't speak German i don't think that we could have any conversation with them. We noticed that... More
