“Boutique hotel that I actually liked”

This will be a rare occurrence. I am not a fan of boutique hotels. I don't get it. Give me a square room with everything that works great and I am happy. I don't like fancy, schmancy. “Stunning hotel at a great price”

I've never written a hotel review before but was so impressed by Gastwerk that I just had to. It's beautiful contemporary design hits you as soon as you arrive. The rooms are large and attractive. “good designhotel”

Our 3rd stay at Gastwerk - and the hotel remains a pleasent and nice stay in Hamburg. As other reviewers mentioned it is a bit out of the center - but still going to the center is only 10-15 min by car. Overall we would consider staying here again for our next trip to Hamburg. More

Gastwerks hotel is stunning architecture and all of the rooms I have had have the lovely red brick walls and arched windows. Other than that it is very modern with free wifi throughout the hotel and english tv channels (handy when staying on your own for work!) The food is good but the room service menu is a bit restrictive.... More

“Stylish, exotic, but off city center”

The hotel is located on an old industrial site. The rooms are very well equipped and the whole hotel is stunning due to its architecture. An old manufacturing building renovated in an hotel. Absolutly unique and moderne but also comfortable. Worth the visit! Excellent breakfast in a beautiful room. My husband and I were quite pleased with our room at this hotel. The bathroom was good, and the linens were quite nice as well. The room staff was accomodating and the cleanliness - as with all the German hotels we have stayed in - was top notch. Location was so so, to be honest. Quite out of the way.... More
