We had to stay one night in Bad Homburg.
This hotel was number one on Tripadvisor.
It certainly deserves this rating.
It looks a bit dull on the outside, but it is warm and cosy, an old posh townhouse converted to a hotel, which is alson (it seems) recently renovated.
There was a bit a problem with the reservation, but...

Very average room. The decoration of the first floor was nice but the room was barely average. Ok breakfast. Also, the receptionist did not bother to take the time to show the room. So I had no idea that the room's heater was tucked away in the bathroom and as a result had a very cold night. And it took...

There is also a heater behind the door inside the room, and the main light to the bathroom is outside the bathroom. If you have bothered to look you woul´d have found all of this, otherwise you coul´d have asked, we woul´d have been happy to show you all of this.

The house is an old villa close to the park and the inner city, no elevator, very spacey rooms with high ceilings, clean, nicely furbished. Bad mattresses, which was the only real minus point of the hotel.
Interesting installation of the stylish bathroom. Difficult regulation of the hot water (in the beginning you get either boiled or you are freezing)....

This was a good location near the very busy shopping district. It was also reasonably priced and a great choice when compared with the cost to stay in...

We booked this hotel to go to the Frankfurt Bookfair. We used to stay with friends in the very same street, but they moved and so we decided to give Haus Daheim a try.
It is a B&B, or Pension, as the Germans would call it, more than a hotel.
The reception was wonderful and the house is beautiful. It...

Good location, by a park and a couple of great Spanish and Italian restaurants. Neat older builder, gorgeous room with high, decorated ceilings and antique furniture. Weird port-a-potty bathroom fixture obviously installed in the room well after the building was made -- like something from a ship, really. Breakfast was nice, service friendly. Recommend it -- but don't be surprised...
