Nice rooms, very friendly staff. The location would not be the best for young families but a super location for the main train station. I would stay here again. More

Very handy laptops with wifi on offer, free of charge, just needed your passport as a deposit. The room was a good size and beds were surprisingly comfy, neighbouring rooms were quiet ensuring a pleasant stay and a good night’s sleep. The room was really modern and really clean. They also had information about bed bugs, encouringing guests to report... More

Stayed in Five elements for few days. Very well kept facility, clean, friendly staff. Few minutes walking distance to the main train station. Neighborhood is rough. Close to the red light district, seen drug dealing from the window of the hostel. Left my camera in the lobby, was really happy to get it back from the staff the next morning. More

The hostel is in a dodgy area but very easy access from the main station. The staff wwere super friendly and the rooms nice and large. Great showers (no timers) and large lockers under the bed. The night tour is well worthwhile and the kitchen is very clean and capable of cooking up a feast. More

Nice and friendly staff, excellent rooms, clean. Wonderful hall downstairs to sit and talk or to work on your laptop during the night… Nice facilities, good breakfast. More

I started and ended my Europe trip at Five Elements. The only thing I have to advise is that check in time is at 4pm. But that was not much of a problem. Staff was great and let me take a shower (bathrooms are outside the rooms, which I prefer) and chill in the common area. Breakfast was DELICIOUS. Great... More

While this hostel is located conveniently close to the train station, it so happens that's its location places it right in the centre of the red light district. Although not overly intimidating, it is a hangout for homeless people and drunks at all times of the day - single female travellers maybe beware the area. During the evening the street... More

I stayed here for just one night in early September 2011, in a six person female dorm. I think it's the best hostel I've stayed in before. I love that there is a shelf with a light at every bunk in the wall, right next to where you would have your head while sleeping. There's a power point just below... More

We were a group of 4 men in their 20's travelling across Europe. The plan was to stay one night at Lake constance, as we were 4 men in our 20's we were politely turned away from every camp site and so we headed straight up to Frankfurt. We arrived at the 5 Elements and weren't too on arrival as... More
