Stopped here as a family after finding in on a low cost site. Hotel itself is clean and all staff were without exception friendly and attentive and very flexible. Food is also good and decent value. But parking is difficult and not secure, room, swimming pool, sauna, corridors are all now very dated and generally I would imagine the hotel... More

Stayed here as part of a Christmas Markets tour. Hotel on busy intersection, but road noise not too intrusive. Rooms are a reasonable size and clean although housekeeping never bothered to clean our room the first day. Food very basic, breakfast was nothing special and evening meal not good at all. No choice and nothing to tell you what you... More

Stayed for 3 nights on a coach trip to the German Xmas markets, room was very small at the back of the hotel so away from the busy road so managed to get to sleep ok,but saying that the beds creaked when you moved, however found it was very adequate for what was needed as we didn't spend that much time there.The... 4 gentlemen on short excursion of The Netherlands and Aaachen stayed in 2 double rooms. Both functional but very clean. The hotel is still in the 1970's but as if it were still there as opposed to being tired. Not exactly the most busy bar / restauarnat - a locals card game was in session last night. But everyone was... More

We stayed three nights at this at hotel, and had a very non-pleasant experience when we were supposed to leave. At the first evening of our stay, we checked the taxiprices to Dusseldorf international airport, and the lady in the reception told us that it was 75 euro. The last evening of our stay, we ordered a taxi through the... More

We are dancers and were attending the Contra Dance Convention in Aachen weekend of 24/25th Sept. We had a very pleasant time at this hotel. The staff were extrememly pleasant and helpful and the rooms were clean and tidy. A reasonable price. A swimming pool, sauna, bowling alley. Lift may be small but they work which is what bmatters. Outside... More

We loved the hotel. True, it is dated but I like the 70's feel. It has everything that you could possibly want for the price. An indoor pool, mini golf, indoor bowling - great when you have a young family. Our room was huge and the staff were lovely and helpful. The only draw back is that there is no... More

Arrived with tour group just before midnight due to travel delays for one night stopover. Quick check-in. Room basic but clean and adequate which is more than can be said for the small 2 person + cases lift. Breakfast in pleasant breakfast room of juice, cereal, cheese, meat and bread was sufficient. No shops in the immediate locality as far... More

The Buschhausen from the outside looks hardly like a great accommodation--a dated beer sign, a location just off Karl Marx Allee, and a lobby which seems a little faded. But the service is excellent--unusually warm and friendly for this part of the world, and, despite the 1970s-looking corridors, the rooms were clearly to four-star standard. The bar and restaurant were... More
