The hotel is located right next to the incredible 1000 year old romanesque basilica of Maria Laach, It is a wonderful combination of modern day creature comforts and spiritual minimalism. this hotel located beside the Maria lach monastery and the Maria Laach Lake is ideal for a weekend break.the rooms are good the staff are well trained and proffesional the hotel wellness facilities are small but ideal for relaxation after a brisk wal around the lake, the food is mediocre

My company recently had a meeting and I stayed close to the factory in Mayen, some 5 kilometeres away. The hotel was probably originally built in the 1920/30's and stands on a magnificent lake, the lake being water collected in the eye of an old volcano.
