The hotel facade, lobby and stairways are beautiful and unique. The location is in the middel of the charming town El Puerto de Santa Maria but difficult to find, especially if you arrive by car as the narrow streets are mostly oneway and La Placilla is only for pedestrians. we stayed in a two bedroom apartment. the rooms faced the street and it was quite nice to wake up to the buzz of the street, people eating breakfast at outside tables of cafe. downstairs cafe/bar had good tapas in the evening. the bedrooms and the bathroom were small but all in all good value.

this is a great place to stay as the apartments are not only in a fab building but also v clean and comfortable. The adjoining bar/restaurant, el bocoy is perfect for breakfast lunch or dinner. you can have a drink, tasty tapas or a full meal.
