The only reason we booked this hotel was the location. We had the night visit of the Alhambra and the morning visit the next day and for this purpose, the hotel was just perfect. I would not recommend it if the city of Granada itself is your main target...Do not expect design, great luxury rooms, good beds, or anything else... More

We booked a couple nights at this hotel and by accident mixed up the dates. We tried changing the dates with the hotel but they hold us there is nothing they can do "no refunds". We spoke to Victoria who deals with reservations and she kept repeating herself saying there is nothing they can do without ever answering our question... More

Horrible, Terrible service!! I do not recommend staying at this hotel, ever! Upper management that deals with reservations were extremely difficult to deal with. On the day of we booked two nights on the wrong dates through Orbitz' mobile app. We did not catch the error until checking into the hotel. We thought it was an honest mistake and tried... More

Unfortunately the weather turned wet and cold last weekend so this was not the best introduction to Granada. (April 28th.). The Alixares looks good from the outside and is very conveniently situated for the Alhambra in a pleasant location. I have no complaints regarding the staff, however, I agree with another contributer that the hotel is tired looking (a very... More

This hotel is right next door to the Alhambra Palace and within walking distance of the town. A short climb to the side of the hotel brings you to the top of the hill with spectacular views of the city below and snow capped mountains behind. Hotel itself has nice spacious rooms although a little on the noisy side (but... More

Just back from a short stay here. Location is good for Alhambra. 10-15 min walk into town. Taxi ride back up the steep hill was not too outrageous cost wise, if you didn't want to walk. Our bedroom was pretty small for a double (the terrace was almost as big), the bathroom was tired with repairs to the bath tub... More

Right where you need it if driving to Granada. Driving is straight forward to the hotel and there is parking on site(paid). The Alhambra is across the street! It's a 15 minute pretty walk down the hill to the city, 20 up. Buses leave from close by. Walk down ride up? We originally booked right in the ancient city and... More

We stayed at this hotel last year to meet up with Spanish friends,it was a great base and great for what we wanted to see, the breakfast could have been a little better but apart from that we thought it was in a good location with Granada and albaycin and Sacramonte within walking distance, we are back there this year

*Let me preface this with saying that if you want to get a hotel that is close to the Alhambra, then this is your hotel. However, if you are looking for something romantic then it is not.* My fiance and I got back from Spain a few weeks ago, after seeing Barcelona, Granada, and Madrid. While we were in Granada... More

I stayed in this hotel in Easter week (Semana Santa) which is a very busy week in Granada as we found out... We reserved through Booking.com a family room for 2 adults and 2 children (2 and 6 years old), but upon arrival we were put in a room with a double bed and only 1 single bed which obviously... More
